Low Fidelity 5: Tastes Like Coronation Chicken
So this chapter is kind of nuts because it’s largely inspired by a real event, Peter Doherty’s concert at The Albert Hall on the night of the coronation of the King. I took a billion videos that night and used them to write down verbatim what he said before everyone in the hall rushed the stage. There’s a lot of speculation as to why he did what he did that night. The prevailing theory, which I can neither confirm nor deny, is that he was outraged by the Albert Hall staff making him remove his dogs from the stage. To be fair, everyone knows that when you invite Peter Doherty somewhere, you’re also inviting Gladys and Zeus. So I don’t know what they thought was going to happen. Anyway, enjoy.
